In January 2015, the Eurometropolis of Strasbourg gave the SPL (local public company) des Deux—Rives the urban development project for the Deux—Rives ZAC, the latest stage of this major urban project.
The SPL Deux—Rives is an initiative set up by the City and Eurometropolis of Strasbourg (its 2 shareholder authorities). Its President is Jean Werlen. He was elected by the board of the SPL Deux-Rives on September 24th, 2020. He succeeds Roland Ries, the former mayor of Strasbourg. Its General Manager is Eric Hartweg. He was named by the board of the SPL Deux-Rives on October 5th, 2020. He succeeds Eric Bazard, the former General Manager of the society.
The company has a highly reactive, inventive staff of 20, and is in charge of managing the following projects for its shareholders (the City of Strasbourg and the Eurometropolis):
— The development of the ZAC des Deux—Rives, a new stage of the Deux—Rives urban Project.
— The renovation and management of Strasbourg’s Municipal Baths.
